GHS athletes selected for all-star game
Goessel High School graduates Justin Fensky and Tyler Schroeder have been selected to play in the eight-man All-Star football game June 10 in Beloit.
The two will play in the 21st annual event for the Division I East team. Fensky, who ran for 1,382 yards and 22 touchdowns and recorded 123 total tackles, was named to various all-league teams by area newspapers.
He played three years of basketball, and was the 2005 state powerlfiting champ in the 173-pound weight class.
He will attended Hutchinson Community College to play football.
Justin is the son of Luke and Judy Fenske of Moundridge.
Schroeder also was named to various all-league teams including all-state teams by three newspapers.
He was a state-qualifier in the discus, and played on the basketball team.
He plans to attended college and play football.
Tyler is the son of Roy Schroeder and Jarell Hawk of Goessel.
