GHS boys defeat Little River
The Goessel High School boys' basketball team scored 13 points in the first quarter Friday night against Little River, but only led by one point.
However 13 points later, the Bluebirds went into halftime with a 26-14 lead.
The second half was dominated by the visiting Goessel team with a third quarter score of 41-23, and a final of 52-29.
Kendall Voth had his best offensive game of the season, dropping in four three-pointers and a total of 18 points.
Nathan Ensz and Austin Unruh scored nine each, Travis Fensky seven, Cameron Voth three, and Seth Ott, Sam Lehrman, and Stephan Henkel two.
Goessel fans will want to put Tuesday on the calendar, as the Bluebirds host Moundridge.
This week, Goessel played at home on Monday with Argonia, Tuesday at Berean and travel to Inman Friday.
The Goessel boys are now 8-4 overall and 3-2 in league games.
