GHS girls drop 3 games

Highly ranked Argonia came to Goessel Jan. 28 for a make-up game and left town with a 76-30 victory.

The Bluebirds scored 30 points against a good team, but were unable to convert many points at the free-throw line, connecting on just 3-of-10 attempts.

Argonia scored 33 points in the first quarter and never let up.

Scoring for the Bluebirds were Kendra Flaming 13, Jennifer Raymond nine, Shanna Klassen two, Karina Harvey two, Karis Janzen two, and Aspen Frey two.

Berean 54, Goessel 22

Goessel's schedule placed another highly ranked team in the state in this week's action as the Bluebirds traveled Jan. 29 to Berean.

The Warriors forced 29 turnovers, as the young Bluebirds tried to make a game of it against the taller Warriors.

Berean led at the quarters, 15-6, 38-8, 50-12, with a final score of 54-22.

Scoring for the Bluebirds were Raymond and Flaming seven, Harvey four, Janzen two, and Frey two.

Inman 37 Goessel 12

The scores at the quarters Friday at Inman showed the Goessel girls trailed for the entire game 13-4, 26-6, 33-12 and, 37-12.

Five players scored for the Bluebirds, but the team missed all 12 attempts from the free-throw line.

Scoring for the Bluebirds were Flaming four, and two points each for Harvey, Frey, Raymond, and Janzen.

The Bluebirds are now 5-10 overall and 2-5 in the league.
