GHS golfers finish sixth

The Goessel High School golf team was shorthanded this past week with five seniors gone, giving coach Greg Bontrager an opportunity to play some young golfers in a varsity meet.
"It was a perfect weather day of golf," a pleased Bontrager said.
"And as a team these freshmen and sophomores finished sixth out of 12 teams."
Tyler Schmidt, a regular on the varsity golf team shot a 91.
Austin Cooper shot an 89, Hayden Goerzen 91, Chad Wedel and Neal Brubaker each carded 107, and Bryant Miller came in with a 124.
This meet was hosted by Bluestem High School and played at Prairie Trails Golf and Country Club in El Dorado.
