Goessel volleyball coach Crysta Guhr is looking forward to taking her team out of town this week, where there will be fewer distractions, she said.
Hosting a quadrangular at home this past Tuesday, Goessel defeated Bennington, 25-17, 25-15, and Canton-Galva, 25-11, 25-18, but lost to Hutchinson Trinity, 25-15, 25-19.
On Tuesday, Goessel traveled to Inman for a quadrangular with Solomon, Little River, and Inman. And on Saturday, the Bluebirds travel to Little River for the Heart of America post season tournament.
The Bluebirds learned that Little River and Goessel will not be in the same regional or sub-state tournaments, so Guhr hopes her team will come out focused and ready to play.
"It will be good to get on neutral court," Guhr said. "Our girls seemed so distracted when they play at home."
Before Tuesday's matches, Goessel was 17-7 overall and 7-4 in Heart of America League play.
