Girls pick up league win
The Goessel High School girls' basketball team came up on the short end in a game at Remington 26-51, but defeated Central Christian 52-21 on Friday night.
Individual scoring was not available for either game at press time.
The varsity record for the year is now 1-5 in Heart of America League play and 1-9 overall.
The girls will play Burrton on Friday at Goessel, beginning at 6:30 for the B-team game on the same night that the boys are in the Canton tournament.
Next week the girls will play in the Berean Tournament at Elbing.
