Goal Getters hold meeting
The Goessel Goal Getters 4-H Club members took a trip around the world when they answered roll call at their monthly meeting on Dec. 2, 2002, with a Christmas custom from another country.
Achievement pin and county project award winners were recognized. Community leader Aileen Esau also explained that mystery shoppers had rated each shift of workers at the club's concession stand at the Goessel Junior High basketball games on Nov. 25.
The highlight of the evening was the Christmas party. Care packages were made for students that live in Clovia House at Kansas State University. Each family brought items for the packages, and members also played a 4-H Family Feud and Mad Libs. The games were planned and led by the club's junior leaders.
Christmas treats were provided by the Tony Bowers, Marlin Janzen, Denton Kruger, and Ron Wedel families.
