Goal-Getters meet
The Goessel Goal Getters 4-H Club members began their monthly meeting on Nov. 4, 2002, with a trip to the polls. Members cast their ballots in a mock election for the governor of Kansas. New members were installed as tourists on the club's "4-H Takes You Places" adventure. All members received a passport to keep track of frequent flyer points, the 4-H events they participate in.
The club project for the year will focus on communication skills. The club broke into two groups and toured two aspects of communication: how to organize a presentation and how to improve concession sales customer relations.s
Members who completed the requirements for last year received achievement pins and project awards at the Marion County Achievement Banquet held at Tabor College on Nov. 9. Thirty-five members earned awards, and the club received a project award and a purple seal, the highest level award.
