Goessel boys face big test

Highly ranked Inman comes to Goessel Friday for a classic Heart of America basketball game. This will be homecoming for the Bluebirds.
The Goessel boys are having a successful year and sport a 7-1 record after Friday's victory at Bennington.
The score was tied 18-18 at the end of the first quarter. The Bluebirds led by six at half-time. Goessel's defense held the Bennington Bulldogs to five points in the third period and at the same time exploded for 23 points of their own on their way to a final score of 64-47.
Garrett Hiebert led the Bluebirds with 18, Jordan Voth knocked down 14, and Travis Buller had 12 points. In this balanced attack Nathan Amstutz added 7 points, Austin Unruh 6, Sheldon Goerzen 4, Brett Goerzen 2, and Kendall Voth 1 point.
