Weston Hiebert and Travis Fensky were Goessel High School's only double medalists April 8 at the Hesston CKTL.

The Goessel boys finished in fifth place behind the larger schools at the meet, Hesston, Halstead, Hillsboro, and Berean.

"We had some new personal records and brought home a few medals," head coach Curtis Guhr said.

The weather was cold, but no rain was falling as athletes strained for their best performances.

Goessel fans enjoyed the one-two finish by cousins Craig Banman and Hiebert in the 300-meter hurdles.

The 4x400m relay took second to Hillsboro, but was well ahead of the rest of the field.

The Stultz brothers, Grady and Cameron, brought home points as well.

Cameron was fourth in the 200m dash, and Grady earned fifth in the 800m run.

Johnathan Berkholz ran his best time of the season in the 400m dash, picking up third place.

Tyler Dickerson scored points with a fifth-place finish in shot put.
