The Goessel girls lost one home game this week against Burrton by a score of 55-43.
The girls are trying to make the adjustments with Tara Goerzen and Becky Schroeder out for several games due to leg injuries.
Goessel scored first, but Burrton was successful getting the ball inside and scoring consistently with their taller girls.
Burrton led by eight at the end of the first quarter and would never lead by less than six points for the rest of the game.
Melinda Stucky poured in 21 points, Darla Funk nine, Jessica Graber six, Lindsey Unruh four, and Katie Schroeder three.
The defense struggled keeping the Chargers from passing the ball under the goal and getting high percentage shots.
The team hosted Central Christian last Friday.
Leading the scoring for the Bluebirds was Goerzen with a game high of 24 points.
Stucky scored 13 points followed by Unruh with six, Schroeder with four and Graber with two.
Goessel girls played Jan. 21-25 in the Berean Tournament in Elbing.
The team will return for a home game Jan. 29 against Berean Academy.
