Goessel jr. high boys pick up another win

Tuesday, Jan. 5, the junior high boys' A-team picked up their fourth win of the season by defeating Moundridge in a close game 33-31.

Nathan Ensz grabbed eight rebounds and scored 14 points, and Kurtis Duerksen chipped in six points.

On Thursday, the Bluebirds fell to Inman in another close game 39-35. Duerksen led with seven points, Ensz had six, Kendal Voth had five, Travis Fensky and Austin Unruh had three each.

The A-team boys are now 4-3 with Central Christian and Burrton being this week's opponents.

The junior high B-team boys lost to Moundridge 35-28.

Kendal Voth and Jake Liles scored eight points each, Austin Unruh had five, and Daniel Thompson had four.

Sam Lehrman, Liles and Ryan Goertzen had six rebounds each.

Against Inman, the B-team boys were victorious by a score of 33-29.

Craig Banman notched nine points, Kendal Voth had six, Austin Unruh and Derek Brown had four points each.

The record for the B-team boys is now 5-2.
