Goessel sends four to state music honor groups
Goessel High School has placed one student in the 2002 All-State KMEA Orchestra. Junior Kelcy Voth was selected as 3rd chair trumpet player for the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) State-Wide Honor Group.
Goessel students selected for the State Honor Choir are senior Vaughn Miller, tenor I, senior Angie Wedel, soprano II, and senior Zac Church, tenor I. These students represent the most outstanding young musicians in the state of Kansas.
Kelcy Voth and Angie Voth were selected for their second straight year and Zac Church was selected for his third straight year and will be a recipient of the KMEA Gold Medallion at this year's concert which will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 23 in Wichita's Century II Convention Center.
