Grand Central Hotel wins KBC Award

The Kansas Beef Council has named Grand Central Hotel and Grill in Cottonwood Falls the winner of the 2005 Beef Backer Award.

The restaurant was selected for "its superior leadership, dedication, and commitment to menuing and merchandizing beef."

During the past 10 years, the Grand Central Hotel and Grill has increased its customer base tenfold and now ships beef products to customers in and out of Kansas.

The restaurant features Sterling Silver Premium Beef on its menu and customers repeatedly comment that their steaks are the best.

The staff and management's dedication to beef is apparent, as beef represents approximately 95 percent of menu sales.

Menu options include a beef Rueben, a Sterling Silver beef salad with bleu cheese, a variety of mouthwatering burgers, and Sterling Silver ribeye, prime rib, KC strip, tenderloin, and top sirloin.

"The beef industry's goal of providing the consumer a great eating experience every time is accomplished by the Grand Central Hotel and Grill," said Tracy Brunner of Ramona, chairman of the KBC. "As cattle producers, we are proud of how our product is presented to the public by this outstanding restaurant."
