Gregg Walker will conduct band camp
Gregg Walker, director of Hillsboro school bands, will hold a band camp for all incoming band members, grades 7 through 12, from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 8 through 10. They will meet in the high school band room.
The camp will consist of working on marching fundamentals and music, and all students need to come prepared with their instrument, pep/marching music, lyre, and flip folder. Students should wear comfortable shoes for marching practice.
On Aug. 10 band members will meet at 5:30 p.m. to prepare to march in the Marion County Fair Parade. Senior high and junior high bands will march separately.
