Hagen, Rector marry

Jennifer Hagen of Hillsboro and Eric Rector of McPherson were married March 1, 2003, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with Clint Seibel officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Randy and Vianne Hagen and Kirby and Kathy Rector, all of Hillsboro.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white organza gown featuring a spaghetti strap bodice accented with hand-beaded and rhinestone trimmed Alencon lace. The bodice back was finished with a laceup effect. Satin ribbon trim hemmed the full organza skirt and cathedral-length train.

She carried a Renaissance hand-tied bouquet made of spring hydrangeas, thistle, blue hyacinth, electric blue delphinium, fuchsia dendrobium orchids, and velvety red roses.

Matron of honor was Sue Baker of Hillsboro. Bridesmaids were Holly Ross of Hays, Lynnae Craft of Wichita, and Amber Rector of Tucson, Ariz. They wore navy satin two-piece gowns. The bodice was sleeveless and featured a court neckline embellished with a row of navy beads.

Serving as flowergirls were Bethany and Abby Harders, both of Moundridge.

Best man was Ryan Rector of Tucson, Ariz.

Groomsmen were Ryan Craft of Wichita, Michael Hagen of Hillsboro, and Justin Friesen of Salina.

Pianist for the ceremony was Dorothy Stucky of Moundridge along with a string quartet, Academy Quartet at Bethel College. Vocalist was Sandy Harders of Moundridge.

Ushers were Aaron Rickley of Iowa City, Iowa, Andy Armbruster of Indianapolis, Ind., Jim Gaither of Columbus, and Robert Reeves of Lancaster, Calif.

Guestbook attendants were Lindsey Penner of Manhattan and Krista Winter of St. Davids, Pa.

Gift carriers were Danielle Hagen, Taylor Hagen, Brady Harders, and Kelsey Harders.

The reception was held at the church with Terry and Cheryl Hagen of Hillsboro and Gary and Grace Hagen of Minnetonka, Minn., serving as hosts and hostesses.

Reception attendants were Carissa Friesen, Becky Soyez, Taylor Hagen and Danielle Hagen, all of Hillsboro, Brady Harders, and Kelsey Harders, both of Moundridge.

After a honeymoon to Captiva Island in Florida, the couple is at home in McPherson.

The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Tabor College and is employed as an underwriting trainee at Farmer's Alliance Mutual Insurance.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School and Kansas State University in Manhattan and works as a landscape designer for Nelson Nursery.
