HCMC Long-Term Care: Salem Home locals create human flag

First graders came to visit for the last time this school year on May 1. Residents and first graders enjoyed a time of games and treats.

Students from Vicky's School of Dance performed for residents and their family members on May 7.

Martha Scharping was the one birthday resident during the month of May, and she and other residents enjoyed root beet floats. A quilt show was held on May 15 during National Nursing Home Week. Family and friends enjoyed the show along with a picnic out in the courtyard at noon.

Senior Olympics was held May 29. Louis Janzen received first place for the golf putt; Mollie Zimmerman was first in the Frisbee toss; and Martha Klein got first in baggo and basketball shoot.

Residents enjoyed homemade ice cream at the end of the month.

The community is invited to join us for coffee and donuts in the chapel every Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
