Heidi Dirks
Heidi Joy Dirks, 17, of Tampa, died Nov. 3, 2002, in rural Durham of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born May 19, 1985, in McPherson, she was the daughter of Bradley J. and Joyce Ann (Becker) Dirks. She was a lifetime Marion County resident.
She was a member of Morning Star Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Durham. She was employed at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro and Kingfisher Inn in Marion.
Survivors include her parents of Tampa; a brother, Joshua Dirks of Tampa; sisters, Ashley Dirks and Misty Dirks of Tampa; and grandparents, Melvin and Vera Dirks of Lehigh and Vernon and Elfrieda Becker of Canton.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morning Star Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Durham. Officiating ministers will be Ransom Wiebe, Merlin Wiebe and Cyrus Wedel. Burial will be at Logan Township Cemetery in rural Durham. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Morning Star Church in rural Durham.
A memorial has been established with Cottonwood Grove Christian School in rural Durham.
