Helen Loewen
Helen Loewen, 90, died Oct. 10, 2006, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro. She was a homemaker.
Born July 25, 1916, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of P.J. and Pauline (Schroeder) Koop.
On April 3, 1941, she married Leander Loewen in Hillsboro. She was a member of Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.
Survivors include her husband of Hillsboro, two sons, Robert Loewen and wife Rita and Charles Loewen and wife Mary, rural Hillsboro; a daughter, Carol Ratzlaff and husband Sherwin, Enid, Okla.; a brother, Wally Koop of Shafter, Calif.; sisters, Edna Suderman of Hillsboro, and Lorna Gerbrandt of Antelope, Calif.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial was Oct. 16, 2006, at Ebenfeld Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, followed by services at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, Pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating.
