Helen Malin
Helen Jost Malin, 94, died Jan. 31, 2004, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
Born Dec. 15, 1909, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Martin and Bertha (Goldbeck) Jost.
She married Arthur A.W. Malin at Hillsboro in 1930. He died in 1970.
She was a housewife, artist, and professional caregiver who was a member of First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
Survivors include four sons, Arthur of Stone Lake, Wis., Gordon of Fort Collins, Colo., Martin of Laredo, Texas, and David of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Judith Malin of Hillsboro; two brothers, Ted Jost and Chester Jost, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church with Pastor Stan Bohn officiating.
The Helen Jost Malin memorial fund has been established.
