Herman Bolte IV
Herman Fred "Bud" Bolte IV, 24, died Aug. 28, 2003, in Camarillo, Calif.
He was born July 17, 1979, in Hillsboro. He joined the Navy and attended basic training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois along with Aviation Structural Mechanics Class A School in Pensacola, Fla.. Afterward, he was stationed at NAS Cecil Field, Fla., and NAS Patuxent River, Md.
He was honorably discharged in December of 2000 from active duty and joined the Navy Reserves. As a Naval Reservist, he was assigned to VR 55 Point Mugu and was called up in March of this year for active duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Survivors include his father, Herman F. Bolte III and his wife Jane of Newton, and his mother, Kathy Dart of Crestline, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Robert Bolte.
A service with full military honors was Wednesday at Riverside National Cemetery, March AFB in California.
