Herman Regier
Herman L. Regier, 79, died July 30, 2006, at Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
Born Nov. 7, 1926, at Henderson, Neb., he was the son of P.A. and Marie Regier.
In 1950, Herman married Sarah Boehr at Henderson, Neb.
Herman was self-employed as a farmer all his life. He was a pioneer in developing self-propelled irrigation. Most of his children farmed with him at one time or another.
He was a member of Koerner Heights Mennonite Brethren Church, North Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah of North Newton; three sons, Leon and Marilyn Regier of Grant, Neb., Dale and Teresa Regier of Abbotsford, BC., and Larry and Kristi Regier of Independence, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn and Craig King of Hesston and Karen and Terry Deaver of Augusta; two brothers, Pete Regier and Ivan Regier, both of Madrid, Neb.; and two sisters, Marian Doerksen of Camp Verde, Ariz., and Ruth Preheim of Freeman, S.D.
