HHS golf: Trojans top regional scoreboard
Justin Kent and Daniel Kunantaev have been the top two Hillsboro High School golfers all season, and it showed Monday when they finished first and second at the 3A Hillsboro regional.
The two tied with rounds of 76, and Kent eventually won in a playoff, earning the title of individual champion.
Daniel Dick came in at 16th with a round of 97, Gavin Serene shot 98, Jake Kenney 102, and Jared King 114.
As a team the Trojans finished with a total score of 347, 13 strokes ahead of second-place Beloit.
All six golfers will compete Monday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course after the team qualified with its first-place finish.
