HHS track team competes at Berean
Head coach Dennis Boldt took a young team to the team's first Central Kansas Track League at the Berean quint track meet held April 6 at the Peabody track in Peabody.
"As I expected, we competed well in our events," Boldt said.
Schools competing in the quint were Hillsboro, Peabody-Burns, Berean Academy, Hesston, and Herington.
"Scoring the gold for the boys was freshman Tyler Kaufman in the triple jump," Boldt said.
Kaufman had a 36'6" jump for the day.
On the girls' side, Elissa Richert placed second in the 3200-meter run with a personal best time of 13:51. Sydney Waner placed second in the pole vault with a jump of 7'6".
