Hilda Ewert
Hilda Ewert of Pratt, 90, died March 23, 2002, at Southwind Hospice House in Pratt.
Born Oct. 12, 1911, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Johann H. and Aganetha (Bartel) Rempel.
She attended Unruh School and Hillsboro Bible Academy.
She lived in Pratt for three years coming from the Hillsboro and Goessel area.
On June 1, 1932, at Hillsboro, she married Ed Ewert. He died April 8, 1988.
She was a homemaker and a member of Goessel Mennonite Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant Russell Ewert in 1935.
Survivors include sons, Lowell Ewert of Geneao, Ill., and Ronney Ewert of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughters, Joann Mann of Neosho, Mo., and Carolyn Simpaon of Pratt; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held March 25 at Goessel Mennonite Church with Pastor Kevin Goertzen officiating. Burial was at Johannestal Cemetery in Goessel.
Memorials have been established with Southwind Hospice, Goessel Mennonite Church or donor's choice.
