Hillsboro bands earn top ratings at fair
The Hillsboro High School and Middle School bands received top honors this past Wednesday at the Kansas State Fair band contest.
The high school band and the seventh and eighth grade band each received Is for their performances.
The high school band will perform with the Marion High School band Oct. 13 at the Hillsboro vs. Marion football game.
The high school band also will hold a marching concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at Reimer Field located on the Tabor College campus. A work auction will follow the concert to help raise funds for the band's trip to Branson, Mo., in May.
