Residents have been busy these past two weeks. They made peppernuts Dec. 19. The Gospel Messengers presented a musical program that evening.

Residents continued their look at the birth of Jesus during the Christmas meditations Dec. 20. They also made poinsettia napkins rings for Christmas Day.

On Dec. 21, residents played Christmas Deal or No Deal. Top winners for the day were Leland Kaiser, Ed winter, and John Rempel. Several other residents made good deals and left with Christmas items such as a Christmas door hanger, candy, a stuffed Santa, and Christmas pins.

A Christmas party was held the afternoon of Dec. 22. Brenda Pero's birthday also was celebrated. Staff joined residents in singing Christmas carols. Refreshments were served and each resident received a gift from one of the staff.

Natasha Hollingshead played bingo Dec. 23 with residents.

St. John Lutheran Church was responsible for the Sunday afternoon service on Christmas Eve.

Jane Vajnar joined residents Christmas day and read Christmas stories and did trivia in the morning. In the afternoon, residents enjoyed a Hallmark movie and popcorn.

Alice Winter celebrated her birthday Dec. 26 with residents and family.

The Wednesday morning Bible study looked at a passage in John 1.

South hall residents meet for a learning circle Wednesday afternoon. The north hall residents played Baggo with Lori.

Thursday morning, residents made donuts and the north hall group had a learning circle while the south hall residents played Baggo with Lori.

Everyone enjoyed New Year's trivia Friday morning.

The Canton Baptist church was responsible for the Sunday afternoon service.

Residents celebrated Eleanor Urbanek's birthday New Year's Day. Following the party, residents enjoyed a PowerPoint presentation looking back at 2006. They enjoyed a glass of sparkling grape juice in celebration of 2007.
