Hillsboro Middle School track teams host meet
Hillsboro Middle School track team hosted its first meet Thursday at HHS track.
"I thought the athletes performed very well today," said head coach Dennis Boldt. "We have only had a few practices because of spring break and holiday."
Other teams competing included Halstead, Marion, Centre, Berean, Hesston, Peabody, Herington, and Centre.
"The eight teams provided more entries this year and strong competition," Boldt said. "I am proud of our team's effort and look for better marks are we have more time to prepare for upcoming meets."
The seventh grade girls finished fifth; seventh grade boys, fifth; eighth grade girls, fifth; and eighth grade boys, third.
The next middle school meet will be at 4:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at Sterling.
