Hillsboro officers report a varied week of activities
An assortment of complaints and investigations kept Hillsboro Police Department busy.
June 18: A dog complaint in Memorial Park was filed. An EMS crew received assistance. Suspicious activity in the 500 block of South Wilson Street was investigated. Response was given to a 911 disconnect in the 300 block of South Cedar Street. A disorderly person was reported at Hillsboro Heights. Three curfew citations were issued.
June 19: A possible child neglect case was reported. A report of possible physical abuse to an adult was investigated. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of West F Street. Two subjects were reported throwing water balloons at D and Ash streets. A commercial alarm was checked after being activated in the 900 block of East D Street.
June 20: A motorist received assistance in Hillsboro Industrial Park. Sedgwick County received assistance with an investigation. Suspicious activity was checked at Hillsboro Family Aquatic Center. A report of children throwing rocks at a vehicle in the 300 block of North Madison Street was checked.
June 21: A court services officer received assistance. A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of North Madison Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 700 block of South Washington Street.
Thursday: Dog complaints were filed in the 200 block of North Ash and at Grand and Washington streets. A noise complaint was made in the 300 block of West D Street.
Friday: SRS received assistance with an investigation. A report was made of possible threats between those involved in a child custody dispute. Marion County Sheriff's Office received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided with a possible dispute at Hillsboro Family Aquatic Center. A possible fraud was reported and determined to be a civil matter. EMS personnel received assistance with a run in the 500 block of West Grand Street. A noise complaint was filed in the 500 block of East D Street. Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance with a DUI.
Saturday: Suspicious activity was checked at Hillsboro Municipal Airport. A funeral escort was provided. The sheriff's department received assistance with a complaint. Assistance was provided in the 200 block of North Cedar Street regarding a child custody dispute. EMS received assistance with a call north of Hillsboro. A noise complaint was filed in the 100 block of South Birch Street. A report was filed of subjects trespassing at the aquatic center.
