Hillsboro Police Department: Resident reports $500 theft years ago
A resident reported to Hillsboro Police Department that $500 was stolen June 28 from his residence.
June 25: A commercial alarm was activated in the 500 block of West Grand Street. A parking complaint at Memorial Field and a trespass complaint in the 100 block of North Cedar Street were filed. Suspicious activity was checked at Marion County Fairgrounds.
June 26: SRS received assistance with an investigation. A license was issued for door-to-door sales. A suspicious vehicle was checked at the airport. A parent received assistance in locating a missing child.
June 27: A funeral escort was provided. A fireworks complaint was taken in Memorial Park. A curfew citation was issued. A K-9 unit searched a vehicle. A report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of West Grand Street was checked.
June 28: An owner was locked out of his vehicle in the 800 block of East Grand Street. A theft report was taken in the 400 block of South Main Street. Assistance was provided with an injury accident west of Hillsboro. An emergency message was delivered in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of East D Street. Brad Henderson, 303 S. Cedar, reported that sometime between June 28 and June 29 someone entered his residence and removed $500 cash. EMS received assistance with a combative patient at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
Thursday: KBI received assistance with an investigation. A report was made of graffiti painted on the wall of a vacant building in the 200 block of East D Street. A welfare check was made in the 400 block of South Birch Street. Assistance was given with a child custody dispute. A curfew citation was issued.
Friday: Assistance was given with fueling an aircraft. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Adams Street. Missing property was recovered and returned to the owner.
Saturday: Motorists received assistance on U.S.-56, and at Adams Street and U.S.-56. A complaint of fireworks was filed at Memorial Park. A suspicious person was checked in the 400 block of South Main Street.
