Hillsboro Police: Officers respond to complaints by local residents

Hillsboro Police Officers responded to noise and disorderly conduct complaints this past week.
Aug. 22: A dog complaint was taken in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street. Assistance was provided to Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services with a possible child abuse case. An individual reported hand and power tools were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street; a suspect has been identified and the case is under investigation. Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 200 block of South Main Street. Kenneth R. Kliewer, 21, Hillsboro was arrested for criminal trespass after attempting to force entry into a residence. A complaint regarding a dog in the 500 block of East D Street was filed. A 911 disconnect in the 200 block of South Ash Street was checked. A report of suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street.
Tuesday: A domestic disturbance occurred in the 500 block of East First Street. A motorist received assistance.
Wednesday: Assistance was provided to an ambulance crew in the 300 block of North Adams Street. A suspicious vehicle was checked in the 800 block of East D Street.
Thursday: Assistance was provided to a runaway juvenile complaint. A noise complaint was investigated in the 100 block of South Date Street. A stray dog was picked up in the 100 block of North Main Street. Several juveniles were located while skateboarding on private property.
Friday: A criminal threat complaint was filed in the 300 block of North Birch Street. Assistance was given to SRS with a child abuse investigation. A homeless person received assistance while traveling on U.S.-56. A noise complaint was checked in the 500 block of North Washington Street. A reckless driver was reported on D Street.
Saturday: Officers checked a noise complaint at D and Ash streets. A motorist received assistance. A report of a disorderly person at D and Ash streets was made.
