Hillsboro resident injured in wreck
A Hillsboro woman was injured Dec. 14 in a three-vehicle collision.
According to Kansas Highway Patrol, Karrie I. Rathbone, 37, was transported to Memorial Hospital at McPherson for a possible injury.
The incident occurred at 5:51 p.m. on U.S.-56, two miles west of Canton, when a westbound 2001 Chevrolet passenger car driven by Jacob R. Whitteker, 20, McPherson, swerved to the left into the eastbound lane and struck two vehicles, Rathbone's being the second.
Whitteker's vehicle struck a 2004 Honda passenger car driven by Joni K. Dacus, 43, Canton, in the front and side, and then struck the Rathbone's 1995 GMC pickup. All three vehicles came to rest in a south ditch.
The other two drivers also were transported to the McPherson hospital.
