Hillsboro welcomes newest business

Staff writer

Thursday, The Spritz held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Formerly Inspirations, the salon has been under new management with the new name since April 1.

Becky and Clinton Hanna bought the business from Mecia Wares.

"I had been thinking about opening a tanning salon for a long time," said Becky. The opportunity came along when Wares called about buying a tanning bed, "and we decided, why not. Everything was so quick, I didn't have much time to think about it, I just had to make it work."

Located at the intersection of Wilson and D Street, The Spritz has two beauticians, and now offers not only tanning beds, but also airbrush tanning which is a form of sunless tan.

Becky says she hopes to add services in the future. "We'd love to add body wraps, and I've thought about going back to school in the fall to learn to do nails."

Currently she is working as a para at Hillsboro Head Start.

Clinton works in Hesston at AGCO, and they have three children, Brantley, 15, Kyler, 13, and Shayla, 7.
