It was a good night Thursday for the Hillsboro Middle School volleyball teams, as all four teams defeated Sterling.

The seventh grade varsity team started off with a 25-18, 25-18 thumping of the Black Bears. Aubrey Meyer led all scorers with 16 service points. Head coach Stephanie Sinclair thought the team did a great job passing en route to evening its record to 2-2.

"The girls did a great job setting up the ball for spikes," she said.

The eighth grade team won even more convincingly, 25-22, 25-9, running its record to 4-0.

"Our new offense is starting to click," Sinclair said of their new transition game.
