HMS wrestlers compete at Bluestem

The Hillsboro Middle School wrestlers competed at the Bluestem Wrestling tournament held March 11 at Leon.

"We wrestled well after the first session," coach Len Coryea said. "Sometimes we hold back (nerves) and don't come out as aggressive as we should."

All in all, Coryea said that they were able to medal a lot of the boys and that they worked hard.

He also acknowledged wrestler Nicholas Mueller who went 13-0 for the season.

"I believe he is the first Hillsboro wrestler to accomplish that goal," Coryea said.

This was the team's final competition of the season.
