Hospice workers to speak at 60+ program years ago
Betty Bachman, Hutchinson, and Eleanor Franz, Wichita, will present "Hospice: Stories of Care and Compassion" at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the 60+ Learning in Retirement Program held in Tabor College's Wohlgemuth Music Education Center.
The women will speak about why they believe the bedside is where God wants them. A time for questions will follow the presentation.
Bachman is a social worker and an experienced chaplain with Hospice Care of Kansas and was recently placed in charge of the Hutchinson office. She holds a master's degree in social work and is ordained through her church, enabling her to perform funerals as needed.
Franz is a crisis intervention nurse with Hospice Care of Kansas. She is a Tabor College alumna and an active member of First Mennonite Brethren Church, Wichita.
The public is invited to attend.
Costs are $4 per session. Older adults who have never attended 60+ are encouraged to visit once free. Registration and discount cards for lunch in the cafeteria will be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the meeting.
