HPD: Vandals break truck window
A broken back window was reported to Hillsboro Police Department Oct. 15 on a pickup truck parked in the 100 block of North Washington Street.
Oct. 15: A damage complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Birch Street, Hillsboro, and determined to be a civil complaint. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 700 block of South Lincoln Street.
Oct. 16: A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A harassment complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. Don Abbott reported the back window was broken from a pickup while parked in the 100 block of North Washington Street. The owner of the vehicle was Madelyn Oliver of Douglass. The loss was estimated at $295. A non-domestic animal complaint was filed in the 900 block of East D Street.
Oct. 17: Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance at a possible electrical fire on Ash Street. A dog complaint was made in the 200 block of North Washington Street. A complaint was filed of a door-to-door salesmen operating without a permit.
Oct. 18: The K-9 unit provided a demonstration at Parkside Homes. A damage complaint was filed in the 500 block of East C Street. Parking complaints were made at the sports complex. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of South Floral Street. A traffic complaint was made of a driver of a vehicle spinning tires in gravel at Memorial Park. A possible attempted forced entry was reported in the 100 block of South Main Street when pry marks were found on a door.
Thursday: Wichita Police Department received assistance with an investigation. A dog complaint was filed in the 100 block of South Date Street. A harassment complaint was filed in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street. A non-domestic animal complaint was filed in the 900 block of East D Street.
Friday: A sheriff's deputy received assistance with a possible physical altercation. A juvenile was arrested and detained. A parking complaint was made in the 100 block of South Birch Street. Assistance was provided to Marion Police Department with an investigation.
Saturday: Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with an electrical pole fire in the 200 block of East D Street. A funeral escort was provided.
