Hundreds gather for program, prayers at Memorial Park
Approximately 300 people attended the American Legion Post #366 Memorial Day observances Monday at Memorial Park Circle.
The keynote speaker for the event was 20th district state representative Vicki Schmidt.
Hillsboro Mayor Delores Dalke dedicated a new lighting system for the Avenue of Flags, installed over the weekend. Legion and auxiliary members offered prayers of remembrance, and read the roll call of dead servicemen.
