Ivan Weibert
Ivan LeRoy Weibert, 77, of Hillsboro, died Oct. 20, 2004, in Wichita.
Born Feb. 15, 1927, in Durham, he was the son of Pete Weibert Sr. and Molly (Raugh) Weibert.
Aug. 28, 1946, he married Irene Schwendiman at Newton. He was a farmer and a rancher and attended Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Weibert, Fred Weibert, and Harvey Weibert, and sister, Evelyn Weibert.
Survivors include a daughter, Bev and husband Loney Riffel of Hope; brothers, Dave Weibert of Hillsboro, Pete Weibert Jr. of McPherson, and Edwin Weibert of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 23 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church with Rev. R. Laney Kuhn officiating. Burial was at Durham Park Cemetery in rural Durham.
An Ivan Weibert Agricultural Memorial fund has been established.
