Jacob Koehn
Jacob C. Koehn, 97, died May 25, 2006, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.
Born Jan. 20, 1909, in Marion County, he was the son of Cornelius and Agnes (Goertz) Koehn.
He was an electrician and farmer and member of Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel.
On Sept. 22, 1934, he married Irma Voth at Tabor Mennonite Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marilyn Nikkel; brother; George Koehn; and sister, Margaret Revel.
Survivors include his wife, Irma of Goessel; son, John Koehn of Dighton; son-in-law, Kermit Nikkel of Canton; two daughters, Margaret Hiebert of North Newton and Linda Buller of Wichita; four brothers, Cornie of Hesston, Frank and John, both of Newton, and Irwin of Blaine, Wash.; two sisters, Nellie Esau of Goessel and Martha Penner of Emporia; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel, with Pastor Corey Miller and Pastor Karen Andres officiating.
Burial was in Tabor Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Tabor Mennonite Church or Bethesda Home, Goessel.
