Jost is Merit Scholar finalist
Alisa Jost has advanced to the finalist standing in the 2003 competition for Merit Scholarship Awards.
Jost is a senior at Hillsboro High School and has progressed through the competition as a result of her high scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test. The SAT is a national test to determine the college potential of graduating seniors in the United States.
Selection of some 8,000 winners is now in progress. Beginning in march, the Merit Scholarship winners will be notified by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Jost is the daughter of Lynn and Donna Jost of Hillsboro.
Jost joins Russell Clark (in 1993-94) and Amy Klassen (in 1987-88) as HHS students who have achieved this honor. Both Clark and Klassen were eventually awarded the title of Merit Scholar.
