June ceremony joins couple in holy matrimony
Eunice Voth and Kenton Nickel, both of Goessel, were married in a six o'clock ceremony June 3 at Tabor Mennonite Church, Goessel.
Parents of the couple are Lester and Lois Voth and Elton and Denice Nickel, all of Goessel.
Corey Miller officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Music was provided by Pamela Abrahams and Sara Adrian, piano; Lindsay Banman, violin; Brian Voth, guitar; Mona Voth, cello; Andrea, Bethany, and Breanna Nickel, piano, flute, violin; and Sisters Forever.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown with sheer cap sleeves featuring embroidery and beading on the bodice. The skirt had embroidery and beading angling down the front and around the train on the back. She carried a bouquet of dark purple calla lilies and lavender roses.
Brittany Voth of Goessel was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Schmidt of Americus, Ga., Karey French of Moundridge, Hannah Klaassen of Whitewater, and Kelley O'Reilly of Newton.
Kevin Nickel of Seattle, Wash., served as best man. Groomsmen were Russell Adrian of Salem, Ore., Adam Robb of Moundridge, and Brent Abrahams of Goessel.
Guests were seated by Aaron Banman of Chicago, Ill., Kyle Funk of Goessel, and Joseph Penner of Salem, Ore.
Yvette Nickel of Seattle, Wash., was in charge of the guest book. Gift attendants were Abby and Rebecca Strong and Carson Voth, all of Newton.
A reception was held on the church lawn following the ceremony and was hosted by Donovan and Jewel Nickel and DeAlan and Alma Unrau.
The bride is a graduate of Goessel High School and Bethel College, Newton. She will be a math teacher at Newton High School.
Her husband is a graduate of Goessel High School and Bethel College, Newton, and is employed in construction for Preferred Builders, Hesston.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple lives in North Newton.
