The Goessel girls' junior varsity team lost in overtime against Pretty Prairie 45-44. The basket "had a lid on it" toward the end of the game as free throws and good shots would not go in.
The JV girls defeated Trinity on Tuesday 51-33.
The JV girls' record is now 6-7 overall and 4-5 against league teams with three games to play.
The boys' junior varsity team romped against Pretty Prairie 57-32 as team defense and speed offset the height of the Bulldog team. The boys won a close contest on Tuesday against Trinity, 37-32.
The JV boys are now 9-5 in the regular season and 6-4 against league schools.
