Kadel, Fessenden marry

Holly Rose Kadel and Cory Allan Fessenden of Oklahoma City, Okla., were united in marriage at the Trinity Methodist Church in Jewell on April 19 at an afternoon ceremony performed by Rev. Terry Mayhew.

Parents of the couple are David and Sherilyn Kadel of Randall and Lessa Fessenden of Salina and Craig and Kay Fessenden of Hutchinson.

Grandparents are Paul and Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro, Alice Kadel and the late Ivan Kadel of Jamestown, Dale and Leota Fessenden of Hutchinson, and Darrel and Bea Basnett of Concordia.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sleeveless ballgown of ivory bridal satin. The gown featured a basque waistline, tank neckline and was covered with beaded lace. The chapel train had layers of champagne and ivory stain fabric and roses. The waist-length tiered veil was paired with a tiara of ivory roses and pearls. The bride wore her grandmother Pankratz's wedding pearls.

She carried a cascade bouquet of burgundy, white and pink roses, orchids, alstromeria lilies, larkspur and ivy tails.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Price of Denver, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kara Kibbe of Manhattan and April Winter of Emporia, cousin of the bride. They wore wine floor-length princess-styled dresses of satin and chiffon and carried cascade bouquets of burgundy sweetheart roses, pink larkspur and alstromeria lilies.

Candlelighters and guest book attendants were Emily Diener of Manhattan and Marissa Diener of Hillsboro, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Makayla Kreie of Courtland, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Jeff Newboles of Hutchinson.

Groomsmen were Kelly Newboles of Hutchinson and Tyler Dreiling of Oswego.

Ushers were Justin Snyder of Concordia and Ken Pankratz of Durham, uncle of the bride.

Pianist was Donna Diener of Hillsboro, aunt of the bride. Organist was Jan McCollough of Randall. Vocalists were Sherilyn Kadel, mother of the bride, and the bride.

Serving as the reader and the bride's personal attendant was Germaine Hall of Augusta.

A dinner and reception were held at the Jewell Community Center following the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom traveled to the reception by horse and buggy.

Serving as reception hosts and hostesses were Tim and Donna Diener of Hillsboro, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Bob and Mary Ann Kibbe of Randall. Serving at the reception table were Susan Greene and Katrina Jones of Jewell and Taunya Kreie of Courtland, cousins of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Jewell High School and Wichita State University. She is employed at The Hartford and is a graduate student at the University of Phoenix in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The groom is a graduate of Concordia High School. He is the facilities manager of The Records Center of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Following a wedding trip to San Antonio, Texas, the couple will be at home in Oklahoma City.
