Karol Hunt assumes new role at Tabor College
Karol Hunt has assumed the role of Interim Vice President of Academics at Tabor College as of Jan. 1, 2005.
Hunt has taught at Tabor for 18 years and spent 15 of those years as the chairperson of the physical education department. She also worked as the division chair for education, social sciences, and applied arts.
Viewing her new role as "a great learning experience," Hunt believes she had a good foundation for seeing the big picture of her new position. Now she is simply learning the smaller details.
She works with the Higher Learning Commission and oversees the Academic Quality Improvement Program. Within that framework, are the Three Action Projects. College-wide accreditation depends upon the implementation of these projects, so Karol "makes sure it happens."
Instead of coaching students, Karol now oversees the academic and instructional part of Tabor College. She is also involved in the professional development of faculty, staff, and administrators.
