Kay Geiman

Kay Geiman, 48, of Lehigh, died Nov. 23, 2006, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Born Oct. 18, 1958, at Wichita, she was the daughter of James and Mary (McCarty) Upton.

She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service.

On May 7, 1983, she married Mike Geiman at Lehigh.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Elmer Weyand.

Survivors include her husband, Mike of Lehigh; six sisters, Elizabeth Hill of Lehigh, Judy Sheahan of Longwood, Fla., ViAnn Neal of Choctaw, Okla., Edna Melhorn of Oklahoma City, Okla., Robyn Weyand of Kentucky, and Kim Weyand of Linwood; two brothers, Jim Upton of Newton and Bill Upton of Wellington.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Randy Smith officiating.

Burial was in Lehigh Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, rural Lehigh.

A memorial fund has been established with the Lehigh Park committee.
