Voters will get to choose between Rod Koons and Gary Andrews when they vote for the USD 410 at-large position on April 1's general election.
On Tuesday's election primary for the District 7 at-large seat of the Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh board of education, Rod Koons received the most votes, with 127. Andrews received 75.
The third candidate for the position, Kevin Suderman, received 46 votes.
Within the USD 410 boundaries, 2,875 people are registered to vote. With 248 casting votes Tuesday, that puts the voter turnout at 8.6 percent.
In addition to the cities of Hillsboro, Durham, and Lehigh, the district also includes Blaine, Logan, Moore, Durham Park, Clark, Lehigh, Risley, Menno, Liberty, East Branch, Gale, and Wilson townships. Not all of these townships are entirely within the district.
The only other primary in the county on Tuesday took place in Florence.
Issues were evident in the race for Florence City Council as 40 percent of the city's registered voters turned out to cast their ballots in Tuesday's primary election.
In the race for Florence city mayor, John E. Lehman and M. Jeanie Meirowsky, will advance to the general election. Lehman received 90 votes, while Meirowsky received 38.
Other mayoral candidates, Mary F. Britton received 14 votes, and Del E. Leeds received 36.
In the race for Florence City Council Ward 2, Rick C. Turner had 51 votes, and Beverly S. Baldwin had 20 to advance in April. Timothy L. Parmley received 15.
