Kunantaev takes third at state
Hillsboro High School golfer Daniel Kunantaev shot 74 Monday at the 3A state golf tournament, tying Wichita Collegiate's Andrew Foulston for second place.
Foulston defeated Kunantaev in a playoff, as the sophomore settled for third place.
He was the lone Trojan to medal at the tournament held at Salina Municipal Golf Course.
As a team the Trojans shot 343, and finished ninth out of 12 teams.
