Lady Bluebirds stumble on road at Remington
The Goessel girls' basketball team could only muster seven first half points against the state ranked Remington Broncos losing 39-65 in their first game back from the Christmas break.
The Bluebirds had trouble passing the ball over Remington's half court defense allowing the Broncos many scoring opportunities. Sarah Klaassen led all scorers with 26 points.
Scorers were Melinda Stucky with 19 points, Tara Goerzen nine, Katie Schroeder six, Lindsey Unruh three, and Carolyn Unruh two.
The girls played Moundridge Tuesday at home and will play Central Christian Friday at home.
