Lady Trojans back on track with two in a row
Tuesday's game at home against the Nickerson Panthers was a tale of two halves. The Trojans entered the locker room at the end of the first half behind, 12-15 and came back the second half to score 37 points and defeat the Panthers, 49-35.
"We were patient on offense and worked the ball for good shots," said coach Becky Carlson. "Going into a zone helped us, although we gave up some rebounds."
Senior Katie Fast, who spent much of the second quarter on the bench because of foul trouble, had her second double-double in two consecutive games. Fast echoed her game on Friday by scoring 14 points, pulling down 10 rebounds, and blocking five shots.
Fast, who scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half, opened the second half of the game with two quick baskets, and Hillsboro was up by two. Nickerson tied the game at 21-all at the 4:00 mark in the third quarter, and the two teams exchanged baskets until a basket by Chisholm put the Trojans up for good at 25-23.
The pesky Panthers didn't go away however, and kept the game close until the first few minutes of the fourth quarter.

Freshman Hannah Marsh and junior Amy Duerksen displayed some solid passing skills and each dished out four assists while scoring six and four points respectively.
